USB Wall Outlet

You can even get your regular wall outlets replaced with ones that have a USB plug-in. Unless you really know what you are doing, though, you’ll want to get an electrician to do this.

Here is what you need to know

While the MagSafe charger is fast becoming a household name to most iPhone users, it is not new to MacBook users.

It is a name Apple uses to describe the connector for its computer charging cable. The MagSafe has a magnetic tip that snaps to the magnetized portion of the MacBook charging ports and snaps out with any disturbance to prevent the MacBook from tumbling.

Remove the Case

If you have just bought a new phone case, that is likely why your phone doesn’t charge.

The cutout at the bottom of the case might be too small to fully accommodate the charger cable being plugged into the phone, which results in it not having enough contact to conduct electricity.

Step 3 – Pull!

Wait for around 30 to 60 seconds for the glue to set in place. Now, carefully pull out the screwdriver with the broken piece stuck to its head.

Note:Do not wait for the glue to dry off completely, because then you’ll have a broken cable along with a screwdriver stuck inside the charging port of your iPhone/iPad!

The Charger Cable/Lightning Cable is Damaged

Check your Lightning Cable to see if there is any visible damage to the cable itself. Inspect both the cord and the connector. If you do see the damage, perhaps it’s time to buy a new Lightning Cable. If there is no visible damage, try using your computer as a charger by connecting your iPhone to your Lightning Cable, then plug in the cable to your computer’s USB port. If this method doesn’t work, then you may have identified the problem. Lastly, please note that if you have a non-Apple (off-brand) Lightning Cable, those products tend to wear and break more easily than Apple products.

Won’t Charge At All

And if it gets bad enough, your phone may not charge at all.

Checking the battery cycle count directly on an iPhone is not as easy as you may think. You’ll need to fiddle with some files to actually view the count. Let’s take a look.

1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.

2. Scroll down and tap on “Privacy”.
3. Now, scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on “Analytics & Improvements”.
4. Next, select “Analytics Data” as shown in the screenshot below.
5. Here, you’ll see a huge list of files sorted in alphabetical order.* Scroll down until you find the “log-aggregated” files. Tap on the last log-aggregated file to view the most recent data.
6. Here, you’ll need to access the iOS selection tool by long-pressing on the screen. Select all the text within this file by dragging your finger towards the bottom edge of your screen. Then, tap on “Copy” for copying the content to clipboard.
7. Now, open the stock “Notes” app on your iPhone.
8. Long-press within a note and select “paste”.
9. Now, tap on the “share” icon to bring up the iOS Share Sheet.

10. Scroll down and tap on “Find in Note”. This feature is identical to “Ctrl+F” in Windows. or “Command+F” on Mac.
11. Type “batterycyclecount” without spaces in the search bar at the top of the keyboard. Look for the integer right below the highlighted text. That’s your battery cycle count.

Enable Low Power Mode.

The key to extending the life of your iPhone’s battery is to avoid draining the battery needlessly. The more your battery drains, the more you’ll have to charge. Furthermore, if you charge your phone too frequently, the battery health will worsen.

For this reason, you need to activate the low power mode on your iPhone to ensure your battery doesn’t drain too quickly.

Physical Damage

Is your phone damaged? Are the internal components exposed to the environment? Although the damage may not indicate any harm that has occurred to the battery, damage (especially liquid damage) can cause corrosion and dust to infect the internal components of your device. This can certainly be the reason your phone is losing its charge.

Is your phone constantly looking for a cellular signal, wifi, or Bluetooth? If you’re dropping calls a lot or having an issue with your connection it may be that an internal hardware issue is causing your phone to use more battery life.

You Can’t Stop the Process

As your iPhone’s battery chemically ages, this translates into fewer hours of usage between charges. This means you’ll need to charge your battery more frequently. Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to stop this process. It’s just the way lithium-ion batteries work.

While you can’t stop the process, you can delay it by taking good care of your device. Here’s how you can maximize your iPhone’s battery life and lifespan.

A green tick means it is a valid product from Apple.

Normally, to turn off your phone, you need to hold the power button down, then select from the menu to shut your phone down. You can use this code to change this sequence. For example, you can set your phone to power off quickly without using the menu at all.

Factory formatting deletes all personal data, all application data (like removing your Google account settings stored on your phone), and apps from your device but doesn’t reset the firmware. This is a good option for when you want to sell your phone without any extra hassle.
• *2767*3855#: The code to hard reset your Android device. Only use this code after you backed-up all of your data or in case of an absolute emergency, as it will wipe your phone clean, and delete all of your data. This code will also delete and reinstall the firmware.
• *#*#273282*255*663282*#*#*: You can try using this code to quickly backup your media files before performing a factory or hard reset.
• *#*#197328640#*#*: Using this code, you can switch on the Engineering/Service Mode (or Service Menu) that allows you to run different tests and change the settings of your Android device.
